malleable intelligence - The theory of malleable intelligence states that if you work hard, you can "get smart". In other words, if you believe you can achieve you will. A person is not born either smart or dumb, they are capable of shaping or changing their intelligence if they put work into doing so.
Immutable - not mutable; unchangeable; changeless.
Identical twins - one of a pair of twins who develop from a single fertilized ovum and therefore have the same genotype, are of the same sex, and usually resemble each other closely.
Fraternal twins - one of a pair of twins, not necessarily resembling each other, or of the same sex, that develop from two separately fertilized ova.
Your Essence Extractor summed up the chapter well. Environmental factors have such an impact on how one learns. You can have great genetics pushing you in the right direction but if you are placed in an environment that does not allow you to soar, your knowledge may suffer.

ReplyDeleteI am so glad you used the identical twins and fraternal twins as two of your vocabulary words because for the longest time I thought fraternal twins meant twins: 1 girl and 1 boy. I really don't know why I thought it but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one....I hope! And your extraction is right on!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you chose to do twins for your vocab because I was going to and last minute decided not to. I really feel that for extration was a great few word sum up of the chapter it touched on what I talked about in my blog and I really feel they complimented eachother.
